Queen Street Has Opened!

Melbourne’s favourite modern Asian restaurant, Red Spice Road, opened it’s doors at 141 Queen Street on Friday 8th November. Due to the impending redevelopment of the McKillop Street precinct, Red Spice Road began preparing for the move in 2018. Gin & Spice Four Pillars dinner – 2019

On Wednesday 18th September we held our last event at our beloved McKillop Street home, and boy we went out with a bang!   We partnered with our friend at Four Pillars, to bring guests the 2019 edition of ‘Gin & Spice’.  Our guests were full & merry as they dined on a 5-course meal designed by our Head Chef Sungeun Mo, with matching cocktails curated by Four Pillars creative director James Irvine. This is a beautiful seafood dish from our new Head Chef, Mo. This dish is quite simple to make for your self, and perfect for the warmer months ahead! Ingredients 6 king prawns 80g yellow mustard seeds (soak over night in white vinegar) 100g plain yoghurt 3-4 green chillis 70g ginger 5 garlic cloves 80ml mustard oil 250ml coconut milk 1 teaspoon black mustard seeds 1 teaspoon garam masala salt + sugar to taste Method Preheat the oven at 220 degrees celsius Remove the vein from the prawns and cut into half – length way with shell on.
